 La Radiología es la especialidad médica, que se especializa en el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de enfermedades y lesiones utilizando técnicas de imágenes médicas tales como rayos X, ultrasonidos, campos magnéticos.

La radiología debe distinguirse de la radioterapia, que no utiliza imágenes, sino que emplea directamente la radiación ionizante para el tratamiento de las enfermedades como frenar el crecimiento de los tumores que son sensibles a la radiación.
